This exciting program is an option for students who wish to study in Mexico but do not know the language. They are afforded the opportunity to advance in their degree program and study Spanish at the same time.

The program includes:
One to three content courses taught in English related to fields such as business, humanities and the social sciences, plus Spanish language study at beginning or intermediate level.

N.B. The language of instruction in these courses is English. Applicants whose native language is not English are asked to submit a proof of proficiency e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge First Certificate Test, or other similar document showing proficiency at the B2 level in CEF (Common European Framework).

Beginning Level Spanish 101/102 (120 class-hours)
This course is for beginning students to learn the essentials of pronunciation, structure and usage for the acquisition of learning, speaking, reading and writing skills in Spanish. Students also gain important cultural understanding of some aspects of the Spanish-speaking world.
Four two-hour class sessions per week
Intermediate Level Spanish 201/202 (90 class-hours)
The objective of this course is for intermediate students to acquire the structure and current usage of the Spanish language as well as improve the ability to speak and write as well as read literary and cultural selections.
Three two-hour class sessions per week.

No cost for exchange students from universities with collaboration agreement with ITESO
For non-agreement universities:

Insurance and documents
All students are required to carry health insurance and should bring their documents with them. Students enter with a student visa.

Accomodation
With a selected host family, $2,000 US Dlls room and board (20 meals per week), for the semester
